GI-IT welcomes students from all backgrounds. Requirements vary by program level — find yours below.
Degree Programs
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or equivalent
- Certified copies of academic documents
- Passport-size photographs (4)
- National ID or passport copy
Diploma Programs
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 4 passes
- Certified academic transcripts
- National ID or birth certificate
- Passport-size photographs (2)
- Reference letter (optional but recommended)
Certificate & Short Courses
- Minimum Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) pass
- Or equivalent qualification

GI-IT accepts applications year-round. New intakes begin in January, May, and September. Short courses can begin at any time depending on availability. Contact us to confirm the next available intake for your chosen program.
Tuition varies by program level. Diploma programs range from UGX 800,000 to 1,200,000 per semester. Short courses range from UGX 150,000 to 400,000. We offer flexible installment payment plans. Contact our offices for the current fee structure.
Yes. GI-IT is accredited by NCHE, UBTEB, and DIT — Uganda's leading education and technical authorities. Our graduates work at Stanbic Bank, Andela, NBS Television, MTN Uganda, and hundreds of other employers across East Africa.
Not at all. Our Certificate and Diploma programs in IT are designed for complete beginners. You'll build foundational skills in the first semester before progressing to advanced topics. Many of our most successful graduates had zero IT background when they enrolled.
Yes. GI-IT offers both full-time and part-time study options. Evening and weekend classes are available at both the Kampala and Jinja campuses to accommodate working students and professionals.
Our Kampala campus is at Haruna Towers, Wandegeya. Our Jinja campus is at Light Arcade, Plot 80, Jinja City. Both campuses offer the full range of programs. You can contact Kampala on +256 702 945 602 and Jinja on +256 776 945 602.
GI-IT does not currently operate on-campus accommodation. However, our admissions advisors can recommend affordable and safe housing options near both campuses. Many students find accommodation within walking distance.
